We are open this weekend and ready for you to see "green." You are invited to come out and see all the features of the Bannister High Performance House. We will be open every weekend through October 14th. Here are some of the features you will see:
- 2385 sq ft circa 1900s looking new home with a Hardie exterior
- Rainwater harvesting for irrigation and whole house
- Solar hot water system
- 100 year old reclaimed floors
- Recycled glass countertops
- Conditioned attic (and you can walk around and look at the spray foam insulation)
- Water-wise landscape with a reclaimed brick patio
- Lots of green ideas, lots to see and learn!
- Pervious concrete?????
Times and Hours
The Bannister House will be open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday through October 14th. Hours are:
- Fridays 11am - 4pm
- Saturdays 11am - 4pm
- Sundays 1pm - 5pm
Parking
Parking is across the street at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens; overflow parking is just south of the Gardens! Be careful walking across the Ball Street!

HouseTalk will broadcast live from the Bannister House on Saturday afternoon from 1pm - 3pm. We'll be talking with many of the suppliers and companies who participated in the house. Come out, meet the experts, and tune in to hear how their products made this house "green."
